About the course

This course covers basic pasture production metrics: Animal Units, carrying capacity, stocking rate, and stocking density. These metrics allow farmers and farm advisors to use pasture production metrics to benchmark, assess, and plan the grazing enterprises on their farms. For researchers, these pasture production metrics are the things that should be included either in your results or methods section of your paper. The course is for farmers, agronomists, nutritionists, researchers, and students. This course is part of the Rotational Grazing micro-credential badge available to CCAs and P.Ags developed in partnership with OSCIA, OMAFA, Ontario CCA, and OFC.
